Old and new-old

The stone carving on the left is a Hindu temple goddess from northern India (I don’t know the age - guessing 1800’s or older).
The piece on the right is called a “wirey little bitch” from my artist friend Shelley. It is made entirely of found objects she’s discovered on walks around old land in the Kootenays (most stuff from 1900s)
I love the contrast of the 2 but wasn’t sure how best to display/capture it. Suggestions?
Great pieces! To put the focus just on the art I would display them separately. If you place poster board behind them and possibly set them on poster board, or a plain surface, then the viewers' eye will go just to the art. You might check out this site for ideas. I see flowers often displayed this way.

I'm intrigued that you were in my area. And your friend lives in the Kootenay area - Canada? Anyway if you feel comfortable revealing where you live, I'm interested. I live in Kalispell, Montana. Is that where you walked your dog?
Welcome to 365! I think you will love it. Everyone is very helpful and very friendly. Thank you for the follow. I will enjoy following you back!

@365karly1 hi karly! Thanks for the reply ... good ideas about background ...I will play some more with it ! I am based in Fernie, BC in the winter (calgary, Ab the rest of the time). I was walking my dog near eureka last week (my son had to ship some skis there from Jackson hole :) (mamas pick up service ;)
I am very slowly getting oriented to the site ... your photo stood out to me, so I’m really glad to connect!

@jand Yes, Eureka is very close to us, in fact I have 2 good friends who live there. One of them is my photo buddy who I travel with - we are both former teachers and she used to teach here in Kalispell.
Enjoy the site and I will look forward to seeing your photos!
