@888rachel Over here we have laws to make people wear seat belts in cars, but if you want to crack your head open falling off a bike, that's your business.
@arthur2sheds@888rachel Good question, Rachel. The place that rented us the bike was for Central Park only. Cars (except maintenance vehicles) are not allowed in Central Park, so it's very unlikely anyone would need a helmet.
@harbie We've ridden a tandem for years, so it's what we are used to. In fact, we bought a new one last week, but we still have our old faithful for anyone who wishes to ride with us.
