I have done this before. You quickly understand why skiers wear those slippery clothes. They help you make progress getting down the mountain even when you're no longer standing.

Thank you so much for your comments about my photo of the ski slope. This is the first winter in the almost 40 years that we've lived in Albuquerque that we haven't had a single snow. The city is built on the edge of the Sandia Mountains, and the very top of the mountain had this snow, but who knows how much of it is artificial for the ski industry. You can see in the photo that there is no snow in the distance. Albuquerque and the tram are on the west side of the mountains and this is looking toward the other side, toward the east. We were there on a Friday, and the ski resort is open only on weekends, so it was empty.
