There's a ranch here that has done the same thing! I see occasionally see them as I sit in traffic (ironically) when I take the back road home - due to tourists flooding the direct way home (Hwy 1).
The fence goes quite a long way. she owned a lot of booths. fabulous. reminds me of our shoe tree. by now there'are actually two. the story goes, when the cottage season is finished and people closing up their summer cottage/home, they leave a sandal or shoe behind and the other one they throw on this tree. we pass this particular tree on our way to our son's home.
