From Wikipedia: “Anticrepuscular rays, or antisolar rays, are atmospheric optical phenomena similar to crepuscular rays, but appear opposite the sun in the sky. . . . they are most frequently visible around sunrise or sunset.”
This is the only time I’ve ever noticed this phenomenon perfectly aligned over the Sandia Mountains that rise above our city of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Thanks so much for commenting on my photo of the anticrepuscular rays above the Sandia Mountains. I took this from our back yard. According to Wikipedia, these types of rays are an optical illusion as there is no light source behind the mountains in the evening.
