“I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center.”

@lesip Thanks for asking this, Leslie. Utah is paying to have its national parks remain open, but that does not include Robby. It will be just law enforcement people. The visitors center and admission booths will be closed, and there will be no maintenance to keep the outhouses clean or empty trash cans. Robby had prescheduled a vacation before all this happened. He is here now and will be going to Hawaii with friends until after the new year. Now that will not come out of his vacation days, which is good. Also, after this is over, he will get back pay. Because he has savings, he will be all right. It will be really hard for those who need the regular income to pay rent, etc. Except for Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico will not pay to keep its national parks open, so they are all completely closed.
Thanks so much for commenting on my photo of the woman on a ledge above a canyon. I was at the official viewing area, but I could not see all of the river horseshoe bend. That's probably why she went out on that ledge.
