Thanks so much for commenting on my photo of the heron in the landscape. The water is actually the Rio Grande. It is very low here but normal in other parts of the river. The city of Albuquerque is slightly visible between the vegetation and the mountain. The mountain peak is over 10,000 feet high. The heron stands out because there is a little bit of black behind it--quite fortunate for me!
