Straight To The Heart

I love this hosta with its heart-shaped leaves all strong and green and leathery yet trimmed with a sweet and delicate vanilla border. Around this time each Summer when the plant has reached its peak, we marvel at the size. It is 5-1/2 feet wide this year!

I used my new 35mm lens to capture this shot, which gave me a great opportunity to compare it to my favorite 50mm. Always learning!
Nice shot. Beautiful green color.

@paulaw Thank you, Paula! Ours sometimes get nibbled, too; but we haven't seen much of that this year, and we're sure thankful for it. :-)
