6 million acres of wilderness in Denali National Park and Preserve, and where does this handsome caribou chose to take a stroll? Much to our delight, on the 1 and only road! While most of my photos are of his hind end as he trotted along in front of our bus, I was able to catch him from the side when we came upon some (hair-raising) switchbacks. How small this impressive animal looks in the vastness of the scene!
We all fell under the magic spell cast by the breathtaking grandeur of the low valleys and high mountains along Denali Park Road and are forever changed by our awe-inspiring visit.
@cejaanderson Thank you for the comment and the fav, Jane! The road was very narrow with a drop off to the left. The valley below looked quite beautiful, although a bit scary when the bus went around that bend!
