The sign at the market read, “Canary Melons.” The name intrigued me enough to add one of the unfamiliar, vibrant yellow, football-shaped fruits to my shopping cart. Google said that a drizzle of honey would add a pleasing sweetness to the mild melon flavor. Indeed, it did!
I like viewing this image best on the black background.
This is wonderful! Love how you set it up - dof great - perfect little gold-rimmed dish to pick up the color - love the tablecloth - and then the focus on that dripping honey - wow! Fantastic on black. Fav
@milaniet Milanie, Thank you so much for your kind words and the fav! I'd never seen or heard of Canary Melon before this discovery at the market. Now, we're in love with this delectable delight!
Exquisite! Lovely presentation, super focus on that thin stream of honey. This couldn't have been an easy photo to capture.
(Another cool morning here - that feeling of fall is in the air more and more. You watch though, September will surprise us with some hot and humid days yet. That's okay, at least August had lots of pleasant days.)
@lyndemc Thank you so much, Denise! I had such fun doing the honey shot (and eating the melon)!
Chilly mornings and evenings have snuck in here as well. I think morning coffee tastes better on a chilly porch, so I'm not complaining; but I think you're right...the heat isn't done with us yet. :-)
@janetb Sure enough, we have a 90° in our forecast about 8 days from now. :( Lovin' these cool mornings for now and the hot cup of coffee to go with them.
