Delicious

Well, that wild apple pie that I baked yesterday is as delicious as the memory of my son picking those wild apples from his big, old apple tree, lining them up in rows on his garden bench, and declaring, “I picked the best ones for you, Mom."

I'll be taking two slices over there this afternoon. One for John to enjoy when he gets home from work and one for me to enjoy beneath the apple tree while I give thanks for the whole delicious experience!

Beautiful! That crust looks like a work of art, all flakey, toasted and brown. Bet the apples were doubly sweet, being that your son picked them just for you. Very nice still life of your baking creation.
