Bang!

This Clematis blossom caught me by surprise this morning. While the vine is obviously surrendering to Fall, it somehow mustered the strength and determination to send forth one last bloom and go out with a bang! I stood in the rain for a while to admire its resolve.

Your commentaries are always so well-worded. Pretty picture of this pink beauty. I have a clematis plant that has done the same thing... put forth one last burst of color and beauty in a farewell to summer.
