When the dried hydrangea blossom fell out of the bunch, it came to rest on the antique chair with the cane seat; and if that feast of textures wasn’t an invitation to pick up the camera, I don’t know what would be. So, pick up the camera I did; but none of my images thrilled me.
I decided to have some fun with the shot I liked best, and I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone here; but I kind of like the simple contrast between the round petals of the single blossom and straight lines of the cane seat. Plan B became my post for the day!
At first I thought there was a butterfly in this image. I like the repeating patterns and glad to be informed that it's woven cane. I gotta say, your editing made a creative image and I agree with Sarah, that it would make an excellent wallpaper pattern.
@cejaanderson Thanks, Jane! I've never done anything like it before. It was a fun way to salvage the image that I didn't really love. Something about this new creation just appealed to me! :-)
@lhart Thanks so much, Lynne! I was just having some fun with a shot I wasn't in love with, and I ended up liking this. I always appreciate you taking the time to comment on my project.
That is really quite neat processing that led to this post, Janet. Sometimes the unexpected really does turn out well - and this is an excellent example of that.
@milaniet Thanks, Milanie! I'm so new to processing, so I tried lots of different things with this image. When I got to this point with it, it made me happy. :-)
