Maybe

Maybe it’s the forms. Or it could be the lines or the patterns or the textures. I don’t know what it is about abstracts, but they’re growing on me. Maybe the allure is that an abstract photo is open to interpretation. The viewer is free to see what they see. This is a close-up of the wavy glass in the front door. Or maybe it’s not?

I like viewing this image best on the black background.
You have a good imagination to be able to interpret abstract, my mind imagines very few new images or sensations - though I see you have some lovely light and shade in this abstract.

@jaffacakes Thank you for commenting, Geraldine. I liked the light and shade, too. This really is the wavy glass in the front door, although I love that viewers can see whatever they'd like! :-)

Terrific against black - love the flow to it. Lots of interpretations you could come up with.

@milaniet Thank you, Milanie! There were so many interesting pieces of glass in the front door, but this section of wavy glass was my favorite.

I really like this on black! The curves are mesmerizing. I so enjoyed your commentary. I have also begun to embrace the abstract more. So interesting how this project changes one perception of things. Fav.

The sinuously curving lines, the texture, and the pov are all so gorgeous, this has to be a fav.

I agree with you about the interpretation Janet, this makes me think of the elegant curve of a swan's long neck.

I'm not a fan of abstracts usually but I absolutely love this! Looks so creamy. I think you did a wonderful job capturing the texture.

@dishaparekh176 Thank you, Disha! I know what you mean about not being a fan of abstracts. I wasn't a fan of them for a long time. It's only recently that they've really started to appeal to me. 365 has a way of opening our eyes to so many new things! :-)

Nice Janet, I think it is thick cake batter in a large glass bowl, right before you are going to pour it into the pan. OK maybe I spent too much time baking over the holidays and want to eat more goodies. tee hee hee.

I love this...I would never have guessed wavy glass. Maybe something you were cooking up in the kitchen? Love it.

@eyesmile Thank you for your comment and fav! Yes, I can see where it looks somewhat like food. Reminded me a bit of frosting swirled on a cake.
