Behind The Swing by janetb

Behind The Swing

At the corner of the side porch behind the swing stands our one and only paperbark maple tree with its tender new growth soaking in this morning’s gentle rain — a heartwarming housewarming gift from my thoughtful friend Mickey 16 years ago. That’s the wonderful thing about gardens. They hold beautiful plants — and beautiful memories!
Fabulous. Fav.

So agree, i've got plants in my garden from my grandparents garden, unfortunately they are all long gone - but the plants live in as do my memories of them. Lovely shot Fav

Beautiful dof and plant. I wonder if you could have shifted your pov to get rid of the structure behind?

@jgpittenger Hi, Jane! Thank you so much for commenting. The structure in the background is the porch I referred to in my commentary, and I've been trying lately to create more of a sense of place with my images by including some surrounding area rather than zooming in tight on the subject as I usually do. I appreciate your suggestion, though! :-)
