Tonight, we’ll head over to John and Nirali’s house for dinner; and I’m taking dessert. They’re both fantastic cooks, so dinner will surely be delicious. My peanut butter pie? We’ll see.
I found a new recipe and tinkered with it a bit by adding a chocolate coating to the crust — an idea I pulled from my old recipe. I enjoyed the pretty light spilling in the kitchen window where I worked; and while sprinkling a crumbled peanut butter cup topping onto the pie, I discovered the reflection in the not-yet-cleaned-up mixing bowl. What a sweet treat!
The pie will get a drizzle of chocolate before serving, and I hope it’s good; but good or not, the evening will be wonderful. Time with family is time I treasure. ♥
I'm absolutely positive that this pie was delicious! Nicely photographed. You'll appreciate having the picture as there's sure to be nothing left of this dessert in no time at all.
(Thanks for the generous comment on my violin in the leaves photo...and the suggestion to view it on black. That black background really did make the colors and details pop.)
