After putting my camera back on the shelf, I walked toward the kitchen island once again and saw it. I wondered if my eyes deceived me as I stared. I leaned in closer to peer as if the reflection was somehow deeply embedded in the glossy granite; and I reached forward and ran my fingertips across the smooth, cold stone. Could it be? Yes, like a lake’s still water mirrors surrounding trees, the countertop perfectly reflected the shiny copper faucet, complete with bokeh from the lights overhead! I slowed and let the beauty of it all sink in. Moments like this — miracles like this — fill me with awe and with gratitude and with a sense of His holy presence. Thanks be to God!
