I’m so glad Gracie and I went for a walk,
for I’d have missed
the grasshoppers hopping and
the cardinal pair chasing and
the goldenrod swaying and
the purple grapes dangling and
the waterfall rushing and
the hydrangea glowing and
the black walnuts clinging and
the butterflies flitting and
the asters sunbathing and
the queen Anne’s lace leaning and
the leaves falling softly and
the warty pumpkin just being beautifully warty
