Time spent together is the best gift. Lord knows how I treasured every minute with my precious family when we all gathered to celebrate sweet Charlotte's first birthday and — quite the surprise — mine, too! They'd kept their plans for my sixtieth a secret, and words fall short. Reflecting on sixty years of blessings beyond measure fills my heart with gratitude, and I couldn't love my family more. Heartwarming cards, lovely gifts, tight hugs — the grace of it all stays with me still; and I praise the Lord for His extravagant goodness!
Sarah, after a busy week, managed to calmly host six adults, one baby, and three dogs for the weekend while throwing the most beautiful party for her most beautiful daughter. Somehow she squeezed in baking this cake for me — from scratch; and she says she's not a baker, but this scrumptious pumpkin cake with maple cream cheese frosting says otherwise. I'm so happy to have this picture. "Baked with love" now has new meaning.
