Fisher Price named this sweet wooden pull toy Little Snoopy; but little Sarah named him Squawky Dog, and she loved him dearly. I did a bit of research and learned that “693” printed on his neck means he was born between 1984 and 1989, which makes sense as she was born in 1986. As if his soft brown eyes, wobbly gait, wagging tail, wiggly ears and dangling yellow shoe weren’t enough to win the heart of a child, he actually seems to be smiling. Eighteen-month-old Little Miss pulls Squawky Dog around now and loves him just as much as her 35-year-old Mama, and that makes me smile. I love them both dearly.
