Thank you, Lord, for the pretty pink, dainty leaves I came across in the forest.
On this 27 degree day with only tiny, soft snowflakes as companions, I explored the 1.4 mile pond trail at Harrison Hills Park. Among the hulky red, orange, yellow, and brown leaves in the forest, I came across these dainty pink ones on a huge shrub. Mysteries are fun, so I'll just keep wondering what the shrub was rather than consulting a field guide.
