Acorns by janetb

Acorns

Thank you, Lord, for acorns — even this glass one.

I love acorns. I found this unique glass one at the Three Rivers Arts Festival here in Pittsburgh a few Summers ago. The artist created a beautiful, iridescent cap that seems to throw light out from the dark stem. The moment I saw it, I knew it had to come home with me.

I tagged this image for the 52-Week Challenge, which is Vision: Alternating Rhythm (alternate patterns of light to bring depth and rhythm to the photograph). The alternating patterns of light remind me of a celestial scene. I also tagged it for the macro-glass challenge.
This is beautiful, and how wonderful that it is part of a collection that brings you joy!

A super image for the challenges, would love to see the acorn as a whole after your description.

It's beautiful Janet, it reminds me of flower pedals. :)
