Dusting

Thank you, Lord, for the dusting of snow that fell overnight — a beautiful, delightful surprise!

During the design phase in 1999, Sarah pointed out her favorite tree in the woods that would surround our new home. We sited the house as best we could to center that big, old oak tree in her bedroom's bay window so she could enjoy it each day. When her big window drew me in this morning to admire the beautiful overnight dusting of snow, I saw the tree. She's grown and living in her own home now; but with my mind's eye, I saw her running in the woods — wildflowers beneath her feet.

Looks best on black to me.
Sarah was one fortunate young lady to have such a tree to look out onto and play around and to have such a beautiful looking room. How delightful a home you must have.

The dusting of snow (fortunately not more) certainly made a beautiful scene outside that window. What a lovely home you have, Janet. This is so pretty against the black.

@helenhall @dmdfday @linnypinny @pennyrae @milaniet @mittens @janeandcharlie @jgpittenger @bkbinthecity @bintal @lynnz Thank you all so much for your sweet comments and favs. The surprise dusting of snow looked so pretty that morning that I just had to walk around to view it out of every window I could! This view had me not just admiring the snow but thinking about my sweet girl as well, and I'm glad to have this picture to remember the moment.
