Stopover

Thank you, Lord, for the Tundra Swan that chose to stop over at Northmoreland Lake on its journey north.

What a thrill! I found one lone Tundra Swan paddling alongside a small flock of Canada Geese in the thawing-but-still-icy lake this morning. Its visit will be short. This Swan will soon depart as it continues its journey to the Arctic Tundra to breed. The excitement of Spring migration never gets old!
Thank you. I never saw or heard of a Tundra Swan before. I think birds and their migration habits are absolutely amazing.

I've only seen one swan ever - and he was too far away to do anything but identify him - what a nice shot of this beautiful bird.
