Thank you, Lord, for the many Ring-billed Gulls entertaining us yesterday.
On the lake and in the air, the most abundant species we encountered yesterday was the Ring-billed Gull. While open water in western Pennsylvania attracts Ring-billed Gulls year-round, more arrive during Winters in which ice freezes them out of habitats further north. This one glided above our heads as we admired Lake Arthur.
