Challenges of all sorts help me to grow — this I know. Today I focused on the 52-Week Challenge, which was Portrait Lighting (whether butterfly, Rembrandt, split, or loop lighting, choose the technique which best flatters your subject). Just for fun, I chose to explore split lighting on my tiny fairy statue. She takes on a somewhat mysterious personality in the dramatic light — and to think she's so sweetly smiling at a bird alighted on her hand!
