With Beech Tree Trail visibly winding in the background, this tall oak on Spicebush Trail seemed the perfect tree to hold my new, hand-woven basket. The weaver explained that he used reeds to create it. I plan to use it for displaying seasonal bunches of wildflowers (currently bright goldenrod plumes) where its cheerful presence can welcome us and invite us to linger longer.
I praise you, Lord, for my new, goldenrod-filled basket hanging on the old oak tree.
This is such a cool photo. I really like the contrast between the man-made baskets and hand-picked flowers with the natural scene around it. And the balance between the yellow flowers with the yellowing forest. But now you've got me babbling...
@lsquared@photographycrazy@mittens@jackies365@milaniet@rhoing Thank you so much for your kind comments about my basket! It really is delighting us when we see it out there. I plan to put some branches with colorful fall leaves in it next month and then some fragrant pine branches for winter...an ever-changing display! :)
