Mike yanked the marigolds from the kitchen garden today, and I snipped a few before he did. The gray sky and slight drizzle out there make the little glass bottles lined up on the windowsill look even cheerier!
I praise you, Lord, for the last marigolds in little glass bottles on the windowsill.
I do the same thing when the last of the flowering plants have to be pulled from the pots or beds...cut off the few remaining blooms. Your little marigold is just too perfect to toss out with the plant trash.
