Rain, snow, sleet, a crackling fire in the familyroom fireplace — and we decided to go for a bundled up walk on the trails. Beholding the winter beauty and embracing the fresh, cold air on this last afternoon of 2019, we approached my familiar trail-side basket. Still stuffed with the lacy hemlock branches I snipped and placed over a month ago, its tiny cones and welcome green amidst the surrounding brown brought smiles to our faces; and we walked our trails thankful for the simple joys we experienced this year. Now, on to a new decade. Happy New Year, everyone!
Behold, I am about to do something new;
even now it is coming. Do you not see it?
The people I formed for Myself
will declare My praise.
— Isaiah 43:18, 21
I praise you, Lord, for the simple joys we experienced this year.
I absolutely love this picture, Janet. I fav'd it earlier but couldn't write a note but had to be sure and come back to say the tones of this image make my heart feel warm and at peace. Happy 2020.
