A tendril of grapevine can hold my attention for quite a while. I'm a detail person, and I'm struck by the many beautiful details I encounter each day. This tendril, rendered in iron by the skill of the blacksmith's hands, is but one tiny detail of the ornate grapevine on the door of the wine cave; and I'm grateful for the time I spent with it, camera in hand. I'm not done with the door — the twists, clusters of grapes, leaves, stems — there are so many more details to listen to. Each has a story to tell.
I praise you, Lord, for the stories told by the details.
