I carried my little bouquet in the old crock to the kitchen table after I completed my paperwork in the den yesterday afternoon. Today, I caught sight of it spotlighted by the afternoon sun and just had to stop. Gaze a while. Give the moment what it deserved.
Then God said, “Let there be light-bearers (sun, moon, stars) in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be useful for signs (tokens) [of God’s provident care], and for marking seasons, days, and years; and let them be useful as lights in the expanse of the heavens to provide light on the earth”; and it was so, [just as He commanded]. God made the two great lights—the greater light (the sun) to rule the day, and the lesser light (the moon) to rule the night; He made the [galaxies of] stars also [that is, all the amazing wonders in the heavens].
— Genesis 1:14
Praise be to God.
I praise you, Lord, for the moment to reflect on your glory.
he thought of everything didn't he? I admire your talent for spotting the moment, pausing to enjoy and draw the most out of it with your thoughts as well as your camera.
Perfect lighting and such elegance. I am with Tami on this one. I'd love to sit there with you both and enjoy a very warm and welcoming cuppa. Such an inviting space, that is so beautifully captured in this composition.
