At 30-1/2" tall, my amaryllis will soon bloom; and I can't wait. This lovely gift brought so much joy to January; and lucky for us, the giver's coming over for dinner in a few days and may very well get to see it in flower. Gracie popped unexpectedly into the frame just as I pressed the shutter button, and how I love my curious little puppy's sweet face as she sniffed what looks to be more blooms on the way.
I praise you, Lord, for my amaryllis almost in flower and for my curious little puppy.

It took me a couple of seconds to work out that was Gracie seeing what you were up to. And now you have your bloom - you did wait! I hope your visitor got to see it too.
