@cazann - thanks Caz - juncos vary a bit - the ones in OR are a bit different too. I love their black hoods. @judis@pflaume - Thanks Ladies. Isn't he cute? @maggiemae - Thanks Maggiemae - I am learning. Five years ago I didn't know which was which - but I got some bird books and feeders, and started studying them a bit. I work from home and spend a lot of time on the phone and I have the feeders where I can watch from my desk. @mamamia - Thanks Joanne!
@corgimom@vitamink@anwan - thanks all! Anwan - the sun was just right on the breast feathers. Funny but when this bird is hopping around, he looks pretty dull.
@andrina - lol - thanks Andrina - yep - my hubby took off the screen and cleaned the windows really well - of course with all the rain and wind they will be dirty in no time. @paul2782 - Thanks Paul! @steampowered - Thanks Paul - trick is birdfeeder outside your window. :-) @steviepix - Thanks Stevie. @bristolrose - Thanks Kathyryn - I like about the stormy weather that we will have rain, sun, hail - sometimes all at the same time. :-)
Jan, what a great picture of Mr. Chubs. He has beautiful, soft coloring and the background sets him off perfectly. I love that you kept is simple and focused on him.
I immediately fav'd this when I saw it but didn't have time then to comment. What an excellent capture of this very difficult bird to capture ! Just love all his color you've managed to get .
