End of paved trail

Filler.
From Sunday's hike to Panorama Point. This was about the end of the paved part of the trail. The loose rock is generally under snow most of the year and isn't very stable. As much as I love this mountain, I always am very conscientious of the weather and potential slides. I love the clouds that hover over the top 2000-5000 feet.
Very pretty.

Glad you are thinking ahead all the time! Too many nasty accidents here in our mountainous areas! It looks a good path!

@eyesmile - Awww - Gena you totally made my day - heck, my entire week! That's the nicest thing anyone has said about my photography. Thank you! I love Mt Rainier, and I am glad you can see that in the pics I take.

@maggiemae - yes - have to be on top of the weather, Maggiemae. On the day we did this hike, we learned after we got home that three Canadian climbers had fallen into a crevasse and had to be airlifted in critical condition. We were surprised at all the climbers attempting to make the summit - it's very late in the year to do this slushy snow at the top makes for avalanche danger.
@gizathecat - Thanks Lydia - I hope you get up to Mt Rainier while you are in the area!
@mamamia @chrissieh @mamamia @anazad511 @libertylady @swilde @nanalisarocks - thanks everyone - so easy to take interesting shots at Mt Rainier because it's jaw droppingly spectacular whereever you look.

Breathtaking Jan! Huge FAV I love this. The composition is stunning, it is just a wonderful place to live and have this on your doorstep! I love the way the path, green grass and loose rocks are complemented by the blues and greys of the mountain. Topped off with that fabulous white cloud!! Simply jaw droppingly stunning!!
