Storm headed in

My hubby who never takes pics took this. I am making an exception to my 'only post my own pics' rule for this one. He went to our Eastern WA property to close it down for the winter - turn off the water etc.
It's at about 3000 ft elevation. The colors are always amazing over there and I knew there would be storms so I put my Bridge camera in his bag and told him to be sure and take pics. The red in the sky is where the lightning bolts were flashing - the sky was ominous. We have an old derelict greenhouse on the property, seen to the right, and in the lower left was the supply of pine cones he removed from his little cabin (shack!) courtesy of the chipmunk that always gets in no matter how tightly he seals it. I loved everything about this.
beautiful!

He did a superior job of catching all that great color with a really nice composition! Where in E Washington is your land?

@bristolrose - thanks Kathryn - he needs to use his film camera - an old pentax or olympus - he has about six lenses for it. He hasn't taken pics seriously in over a decade and hates digital. Usually he won't touch my cameras unless we are out hiking and I want one of me for my mum's photo book. He only used automatic on the Bridge camera, but that's OK. He did great.

@grammyn - Thanks Katy. It's between Oroville and Tonasket on Mt Hull. We have 20 acres. Used to have a tiny cabin on it but we lost it in a wild fire that burned half the mountain 14 years ago. Some day we would like to put a little house there. He likes to go over there and work on the property but I am not into roughing it. No outhouse - LOL. When we had our Fifthwheel we went over a few times but a couple of years ago he saw a rattlesnake up there and that made me nervous for the dogs. Usually they are not at that elevation. It's about 3000 feet up.

It is really a gorgeous shot - I love the light and all the soft color. Fav!

@jankoos I totally get not wanting to rough it and the rattlesnakes are no fun either. I grew up around them and I know the concerns!
