Same tunnel as posted yesterday. I processed this so as to emphasize the foggy wet dreariness of the day. This road is horseshoe curves with no shoulder and a drop of hundreds of feet. I think I was being a back-seat driver by reminding my hubby many times to maybe slow down on the curves and not hug the right side. He usually drives slowly but yesterday he was using the gas a bit more on the scary parts. Eeks. This is a beautiful drive when it's clear.
Love this version, Jan. It is scary when there is no shoulder on a turn like this. We also used to go to the Colorado Rocky Mountain and that has similar areas of scary turns. I just look far away so I don't disturb my spouse's driving.
FAV! Love this shot, Jan. So cool how the curve of the tunnel frames the scene beyond. Love the line and curve of the road and the great light in the distance.
@princessleia - thanks Leia! Yes - I have an irrational fear of being in a vehicle on the cliff side of the mountain with no guardrail. Normally I am not a back seat driver - LOL. It doesn't bother me so much when the weather is dry and sunny. @dakotaburns@mamamia@tina_mac@mornegrewe@taffy - thanks so much for the lovely comments on my tunnel pic. It's been so wet and foggy - have to take advantage. @nanalisarocks@nanderson@pflaume@sansjuan@exposure4u - thanks for the lovely comments and favs on my tunnel pic. I was pleased with it. Initially I had tried for more contrast between the trees and foggy sky, but ultimately this was better because of the air of mystery.
Amazing FAV Jan! Love the archway leading you through the photo. Very atmospheric with the mists and silhouettes of the trees! Really wonderful image :)
