Black headed grosbeak. by jankoos

Black headed grosbeak.

There was no way to get this without the rhody bloom in the pic - - it was too close and as it was I had half crawled on my desk to get him through the window.

I have missed my friends on here. Struggling to find time. Working full time, the garden, house, and I am co-chair of a sommittee for our local Relay for Life event. Co-hosting a cancer survivor sock-hop luncheon next Saturday in addition to the main event in July. Lots of planning and phoning and e-mailing - taking much more time than I have. Posting and commenting will be sporadic for a while.
FABULOUS CAPTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

OH wow, and good on you for Relay! I was team captain a few years ago, not currently involved.

@nanalisarocks - thanks Lisa. I have been involved all but one of the last ten years in various ways. I used to be advocacy/education chair but have done survivorship a few times. It's a lot of work. A cause very dear to my heart though!
Hope your daughter is doing OK. I will check out your album.

Jean this is a fabulous photo. I like the flower as it frames him and makes him look like he is peeking round it!! I totally understand how you feel as my posting and commenting has become very sporadic and I miss being able to spend more time on here, interacting with the lovely people I have made friends with including yourself. You sound extremely busy, but all very worthwhile causes!! I will see you on here as and .when we can. I had thought about packing up but I really don't want to, so I come back when able!! Take care and enjoy your projects!! Hope it all goes well x

@andrina - Thanks Andrina - will have to be sure to swap e-mail addresses. I have been thinking of calling it a day too - going to push on a bit longer and see how it goes. We have relatives coming in July then in September a family reunion - my hubby's family are coming and we will be scattering his father's ashes. So lots of preparation for in-laws, too. After September we will be kicking back and relaxing!

@jankoos that would be lovely Jan. My email is amgreenlaw@gmail.com. It will be hard scattering your father-in law's ashes. A bittersweet family get together. You will be ready to sit back and put your feet up by September!!!

@jewelofapplegarth - Thanks, Jewel. They are late this year - we say one or two a couple of weeks ago and it's only been in the last week we have had a flock of them. They have fledgelings, too.
