Holly is my rescue hound - we have had her since last August. She was afraid to sleep on anything soft when she came to us but I have taught her bad habits and she now sleeps in a a recliner. :-)
@tristansmum Thank you so much, Stephanie. She was dumped at a shelter at eight months and then spent three months in foster care learning to be social. We got her when she was eleven months are are her forever home. It's hard for me to imagine why she was discarded (reportedly she was on a farm and played too rough with the little dogs there). She and Quincy, our bullmastiff are the very best of friends. We had a terrible time getting her into our vehicle at first - I think her only car rides previously were to her next home or the vet. At first it was a real battle, but now she turns circles and bays like crazy when she realizes she is going for a ride.
@jankoos A sad story that has a wonderful ending, thanks to you! I'll never understand people who do things like this (and worse) to animals or children. Please give her a cuddle from me.
