Dropped the kids at their bus stop and took a slight detour on the way home. This tower is called Burton Dassett beacon. It is a medieval lookout beacon.

I had see this when you posted it but was not able to leave a comment at the time. Now I saw it on the PP. It's definitely a great image. I love the stance of the 'sentinel' like he's guarding 'his' flock - very cute.

Fabulous photo, that lone sheep is fantastic. My parents used to take me to Burton Dassett beacon when I was a child many, many years ago and your photo has brought back lots of happy memories of a beautiful part of the country.
