Angus and Joey-Boy are in the background, they are both nearly 30 years old. One of them was clipped recently and the other one lost a lot of weight when he was very ill at the end of last year, and a lot of fur on his back thanks to the jackdaws when they were building their nests earlier this year.
Normally at this time of year they would all be shut in the yard at night with access to their stables, but because of the above coupled witht the woeful weather we are having, the old boys are spending more time than usual shut in. Jack and Lilly tend to hang around outside their stable. I am not sure if it is for companionship or because they think that the old donks have extra rations in there.
