water crown (one crossed off the bucket list) by jantan

water crown (one crossed off the bucket list)

disgusting day weather-wise. Got soaked through three layers of clothing, the top one of which was supposed to be waterproof when I went to muck out and feed the animals. The donkeys didn't even venture out of their stables to try to sneak into the hay store to steal the hay when the door was wide open.

Of course they had to be wherever I was. A wheelbarrow, four donkeys and two goats in the stable I was trying to muck out didn't exactly help to speed proceedings along.

When I got in I decided that it was time to do the long-procrastinated-about task of updating the operating system on my iPhone. Then spent about an hour and a half panicking because I thought I had lost all of my contacts/music/apps etc etc. Finally got my contacts back, which was the most important thing, but my music (about 10000 songs, most of which I had uploaded from CDs) has disappeared. Bugger!

Have now activated 'the iCloud.' All that remains now is to try and work out what that actually means and how it works!

Getting towards the end of the project so trying to cross a few items off my bucket list. Whilst this is not perfect, I am quite happy with it and the whole water crown thing isn't nearly as difficult as I had anticipated using an excellent, wonderfully clear explanation I found on here.

thanks to @michelleyoung for posting it!

I will definitely be having another go when I have more time

I'd be pleased with that! It's on my bucket list too - must get on with it. My chickens hated the weather today. We had a freaky rain and wind storm where I though the tree in our back garden was going to lose all it's leaves in one go - the chooks ran for cover!

Looks like the fright did the black one good though - she laid at last!!!

Oh nice job. The colours are fab. Poor donks. The dog doesn't seem to mind this wet misery which is a shame because I do.

@fueast thanks Alison, our dog hates the wet weather with a passion. I have to literally push her up the steps to the garden for a wee, and when I make her come up to the field with me she just sits there looking pathetic

@jlhopgood Love the way you know which egg belongs to which hen! Yes, the chickens were all huddled together in their house all day, and I actually thought of you when I smelled the wet chicken poo - remember you saying you hated it!
