busy day today. I started off with one of the 3 or 4 inspections I get each year from the Donkey Sanctuary which is who I foster my donks from. We passed with flying colours and I was thrilled that they were all rated 3, which is perfect on a scale of 5 for their body condition. This is the first time that they have all got this rating at the same time. It was particularly pleasing because one of the old boys was seriously ill exactly a year ago and it has been really difficult to get the weight back on him that he lost during that period.

Oh how I wish my body condition was a 3!!!

My parents took my brother and I and our families out for our annual pre-Christmas Thai lunch.

Lovely!

The lunch inspired the photograph but I took it when I got home.
Fantastic shot!

I'm so glad you got a good rating on your donks - it is wonderful the work you do to help these lovely animals. Nice capture

Good news on the donks - all ready for Nativity play duty! Hope your poorly boy is heading back towards 3. So if they get 5 are they too fat?

Is that the one in Sidmouth or are there other donkey sanctuaries about? Been there. Top donkey foster home you are.

@fannyb Sam's doing great thanks for asking Fanny. Main prob at the moment is his scar is itching. It's incredible how quickly they heal these kids!

@boxplayer Yes it's Sidmouth Isla, tho they have quite a few different sites around the country and in Ireland which is where two of mine came from.

@fannyb I have done Fanny, in fact my exact words were 'if you scratch the scab off your guts will fall out" That should stop him!

@judithg Yes Judith it's 1 to 5. 1 being very underweight, 5 being very fat
