an irritating day weather-wise. A bit of everything really. Not enough snow to be interesting, and just enough to be a complete pain. Had to carry 14 big buckets of water up a slippery slope in a snow storm made up of those big fluffy wet flakes from the tap to the stables because my bloomin' hosepipe was frozen up. This was followed by rain, sleet and then bright sunshine.
The tree in this shot is the one that usually features in my 'same tree, different sky' album. I took the shot just before going through the gate into the field where I tried to take some more, but it was tea time so the donks and goats started to hassle me for hay and the goats decided that my tripod was the ideal thing for scratching the itchy bit between their horns on. Not great for stability!
I love this! It reminds me of Little House on the Prairie! I remember when I was a little girl watching that show, I wished I had a place of solitude like they did to go and sit. THIS is it! I wish I had something like this near where I live.
@seanoneill Trouble is Sean, I choose to do this. I'm not a proper farmer, just have a few pet animals. The bit I have to do does make me feel for the farmers tho, like you say.
Wonderful glow in the distant sky! I feel for you having to work outside in weather like that... makes me feel guilty about dreading walking my dogs in the rain.
Love the sky.. I know exactly what you mean about the irritating weather.. The last two days I've gone out early and it's clouded up, so I head home and the sun comes out!
This is such a peaceful scene, one would never know the turmoil that was lurking in the wings.
You managed to get a stunning shot despite everything. :-)
