busy day today sorting stuff for the Burns' night event we are putting on in the village, so here is another frosty shot from yesterday.
Downloaded the trial version of Lightroom today, and originally edited this shot in that. Was pleased with the result, but didn't have time to read any instructions and didn't exactly find it to be very intuitive so couldn't work out how to save it, so this version was done in PSE. Maybe next week I will find time to actually look at some instructions and tutorials.
Snow forecast for tonight/tomorrow, tho we haven't got rid of the last lot yet. Kids super excited at the prospect of a day off school, our village gets cut off really easily. I hope for their sakes that they aren't disappointed.
I have already warned all of my nearest and dearest that if we do get a decent amount of snow, and I am not able to get out with my camera because of the cooking for Saturday's 'do' (for 90 people) to take some pics, there is going to be some serious sulking going on!
A shot from today of my favourite tree can be found in my 'same tree, different sky' album.
Fabulous. Go back to the library tab. At bottom left (hopefully) is an 'export' button. You can save just one or several images, whatever you select. Save as sRGB for 365. Ordinarily you don't need to save as you go along, you can just abandon what you've been working on, it will still be how you left it when you come back to it. Took me while to realise that - despite watching several tutorials. If you can't find the history of what you've done to an image go to 'window' at the top, > 'panels' > click next to 'history'. If you get stuck tag me. Can't promise I can help, (still havent read my lr book lol) but I'll try ;-).
That frost is awesome. If you can't get out take some pics of your food...we love food shots on this site!!!!! Helps me to justify why I like to eat!!!!
Wow. How stunning. I haven't seen anything like that. Must be looking in the wrong places - all the frost I've encountered recently has been flat and treacherous not spiky and delicate.
Yes, our frost has been rubbish too!! No spikes down here in Sussex but quite excited at the thought of trying out lightroom........if we get snowed in just the time to play!! Amazing shot Jan....just perfect, well done enjoy yoru haggis!! +fav
you've got the best frost going for sure! i don't find lightroom intuitive at all... it's taken me forever to begin figuring it out, and i'm pretty sure i've only just touched the surface
Hope the cooking's going to plan...
