Angus' last day on his second week of work experience today. He really enjoyed the time he spent last week in a really 'cutting edge' London architecture firm, but has much preferred the time he has spent this week with a firm of civil engineers. He told me that he 'prefers the physics involved' - not sure where he gets that from, but it certainly isn't me! Such a valuable thing to have discover where his interests really lie.
They seem to have been pleased with him because they asked him to phone them next year and if their planned expansion goes ahead they will probably be able to offer him work for the whole of his summer holiday.
Numerous visits to check on the new piglets for me. Given Myrtle's apparent ineptitude yesterday, it was a very welcome sight to see all six babies still alive today and Myrtle seeming to have got the hang of things.
Elsie's babies seem enormous in comparison and spend a lot of their time outside the house now. They are just hilarious to watch, chasing each other around and fighting with each other, then collapsing in a big heap for a sleep before starting again.
I love to hear about your little piggies and your countryside exploits. I'm a farmer's daughter so I miss the farm. Lovely pic of your onions. I used to grow them in my garden but don't have room any more. When they harvest them in a field up the road, they smell delicious
Love this - a theme made for you! Great news on Angus's work experience - and great motivation for A'levels. Feeling worried that Adam has settled into waitering now and seems to have forgotten that he's supposed to be getting work experience sorted for next term!
