I do try not to say this every day, but this does look better on black.
brrrrrr.... a cold and frosty morning. Both boys back at school and I stopped to take a few photos on the way back from taking them to their bus stops. There was a very short window of about fifteen minutes where the light was beautiful and then it disappeared behind the clouds, not to be seen again since.
Fed the pigs on the way back into the village. Their first experience of proper frosty ground has certainly given the young ones something to think about as they tentatively walk around on their tiptoes (tiptrotters???) on the cold hard earth.
Then onto the donks where the black goat (my nemesis) is being particularly feisty at the moment. I had to do a bit of dodging and weaving to get past him to grab the bright pink plastic shovel that seems to be pretty much the only thing in the world that he is scared of.
Thanks so much for the response to my fungus foto yesterday. I am thrilled - and to think that I was a hair's breadth from giving up last month. This 365 thing really does have its peaks and troughs.
Still haven't changed the time on my camera for the clocks going back last month.
So beautiful in mono with all the land in different depth of tones Love the sparkle of the sun peering between the trunk & branch of the oak tree -a must in large on black !! and a FAV is a must for me !! As usual, love your diary and observations of your daily life --brightens my day--I can imagine your piglets pirouetting on ice !!
This is a glorious shot - I feel like I'm missing the best of autumn by not taking Adam to school any more. He had to go especially early this morning and by chance Nige had a breakfast meeting near to school. I just said to Adam, 'I hear the sky was glorious this morning' and he said, 'Dunno' - wasted... Fav
Please don't give up! Your shots are magical and I love seeing them. Another fav for me and viewing on black means you can see the little frosty sparkles xx
