We have had so much rain that the piglets' enclosures are an absolute mud bath. It is so awful that we have taken pity on them and probably made a big mistake by letting them have access to the big field that they are in. They are so happy to be running around on grass, and have of course already started turning great clods of earth over. Hopefully their enclosure will have dried out before they have churned the whole field up.
Graham has been off work today so he has fed them but it will be with trepidation that I go in with them to give them their food on Monday. They are really quite bitey at the moment and being faced with seventeen of them all wanting their food (I usually tip it into their troughs from outside their fence) should be rather interesting.
A mud face pack !! -- hope he will have a beautiful complexion after this !! ( and all the clan !! ) Good luck with the feeding on Mon !!
By the wa a gorgeous capture and a fav
Oh jan be careful, don't want to scare you but there was that awful story about a farmer who went in to feed his pigs and all that was found later that morning was his false teeth! Shouldn't have told you that should I. I'll get my coat ............ Love this BTW made me chuckle. FAV
Oh dear @lucypics poor Jan that's enough to frighten her to death...she will have no false teeth to leave either I'm sure so will be nothing left!!!!
You can't run very fast in that mud either......I think you will need a decoy banging a drum!! That face is rather adorable though!! Pigs are good but they don't half root!
Oh my, Pigpen! I look outside and find it hard to believe that there is this much mud somewhere when all I see is white. Just watch your shins come Monday with those hungry pigs :)
I daren't let my hubby see this shot - he is so keen to have pigs on our smallholding and I'm holding out (for fear of our sheep paddock turning into a mudbath). However, this is pretty adorable :-)
What's not to like about this. I love it and wish I had an old farmhouse kitchen to hang it in. One of my fave 365 shots ever, even if it did sneak above me in the TT! I think it would make a great B&W too.
