Graham and I have just got back from a few days away on the Amalfi coast. Gorgeous hotel in Sorrento, great food, greater wine, we even thought of things to talk to each other about - must admit I was a little concerned as it is some time since we have spent more than a night away together without the boys! They stayed at home with my parents and seemed to have a fine old time being spoiled rotten by their doting Grandma.
This shot was actually taken during the afternoon. What looks like lights along the coast was actually a shaft of sunlight creeping under the cloud and glinting off the windows of the buildings lining the shore.
Gorgeous nighttime shot with the dark waters and the foreboding sky.....love how you can see the flickering lights of civilization along the coast at the foot of the mountain.
Love the deep tones and lighting which make this look more like a night shot! Was lucky enough to visit Amalfi last year- truly one of the most gorgeous spots on the planet! Did you have the chance to tour Pompeii?
Great light along that sea shore....looks exactly like a row of lights in the evening....how the eye can deceive! I had forgotten you were away....a second honeymoon ......it is a worry wondering if you have forgotten how to,talk to,each other! We lead such busy lives & forget the art of proper conversation!, Mind you I talk & Harry listens usually....he is quiet & I chat! Look forward to more of your Italian pictures!
