a quick iPhone shot taken at the allotments on my way to feed the pigs this morning. Taken using the Pro HDR app and edited in Lightroom, PSE and Picmonkey - so not exactly SOOC!
So much to look at here Jan......allotments are fascinating to me anyway, I love looking at them when we drive past any. Looks like lots of vegetables growing stil, the green houses & frames....you only need a fork stuck in the ground!
As for the compost heap that is a photo on its own....lit up by the wonderful yellow pumpkins....I feel better looking at those as it seems I am not the only one who hasn't done a thing with mine! I have looked at mine & felt guilty that I haven't made masses of pumpkin soup!
@jantan Wow that's amazing! I wish we had something like that here, because here you don't really have much land unless you are a gazillionaire. We have a few "community garden" areas, which are typically free (maybe they ask for a donation), but you may get a 4'x6' plot. :( The grass is always greener!

@happypat I know Pat, I am fascinated by them too. I am particularly interested in the ones that are in cities
