I can't resist getting my camera out when we have a foggy morning. I quite like this shot of the donks emerging from the mist.
At the moment they are in the field where the pigs' enclosures are. I am hoping that they will eat down the scrubby patches of grass that have been left by the sheep. Timing is critical, because as soon as the grass starts to grow again in the spring they will have to be moved out of there as there will be too much young grass, which isn't good for them.
Them being in this field means that I get mobbed by the donkeys and goats when I get the pig food out of the food store. It does get a bit 'hairy' at times because the donks don't really understand that the food is not for them.
Love this! I have 9 of them of three generations in my countryside place in Sardinia and sooner or later they will be the subject of some shots to be posted here!
We saw many of them when we lived in Cyprus, but they weren't always very well cared for, sadly.
Such a wonderful shot.
